The Assetto Corsa Competizione server is regularly updated to add new features, fix bugs and add new content. Whenever new content or options are added our Manager will also require an update, but other updates will usually not require a Manager update. We always do our best to release an update as soon as possible after a server update when it is required, but depending on the amount and complexity of new features we need to support and our own circumstances at the time it can take a few days on occasion.
Server updates can be triggered from the Server -> Server Updates page of your Manager by clicking the Update Server
button. You can view the logs as the server is updated, which will confirm when the update has been completed. The process stops the server if it is started whilst the server is running.
Open Steam on your PC
Click "Library" then on the dropdown, click "Home"
Click where it says "Games" and make sure that "Tools" is selected.
Scroll down the list until you see "Assetto Corsa Competizione Dedicated Server", and click on it.
Click "Install"
Choose an appropriate install path, e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam
, and remember this.
Click "Next >"
Click "Finish"
Wait for the download to complete.
Find "Assetto Corsa Competizione Dedicated Server" in the library menu as you did before (in step 4). Right click on this.
Once you have right clicked, go to "Manage" in the menu, and click "Browse local files".
A file explorer window will open up.
Double click on the "server" folder to open it.
This folder contains the accServer.exe server. You have two options here:
a) Copy the "accServer.exe" into a folder called "server" next to your acc-server-manager.exe
b) Edit the Server Manager config.yml to change the install_path
to be the path that the server is installed in. You can get this from the top bar of explorer.exe, e.g.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Assetto Corsa Competizione Dedicated Server\server
These steps will need repeating every time the ACC server updates.
